In a shocking incident in Ugar Khurd village, Kagwad taluk, a 3-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death by his mother, Bhagyashree, following a heated argument with her husband on Saturday. The child, identified as Satvik Rahul Katageri, died in what is believed to have been a moment of rage after ongoing marital tensions between Bhagyashree and her husband, Rahul.
Reports suggest that Bhagyashree had been suspicious of her husband’s infidelity, which had been a source of constant discord in the family. On the day of the tragedy, the argument escalated, and in a fit of anger, Bhagyashree allegedly killed her son. She also attempted to take her own life but was unsuccessful.
Both Bhagyashree and Rahul have been detained by the Kagwad police for further investigation. A case has been registered, and authorities are working to uncover more details about the disturbing incident.
Newborn’s Body Found in Canal
In a separate tragic event within the same jurisdiction, the body of a newborn was discovered in a canal near Mole village on Sunday. The child is believed to have been born 3-4 days ago. The Kagwad police and child development officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death.
