Vijayapura: Narpatsingh Rajpurohit, an environmental activist of Rajasthan who is on a mission to save ecology, reached City on his bicycle on Friday December 3. On his arrival, Former Minister and Congress MLA M. B. Patil honoured Rajpurohit.
Rajpurohit has been riding his cycle since 2019 and has covered as many as 22 States of the country to spread awareness on ecology. As part of his mission, he has already planted over 90,000 saplings in various places.
During the meeting with Patil who has launched ‘Koti Vruksha Abhiyana’ (campaign to plant one crore saplings), Rajpurohit said that he learnt about the campaign from the people of Rajasthan living in Vijayapura City. He said that he was really impressed with the campaign launched by Patil and said that Patil can become an inspiration to other politicians.
Patil who appreciated the efforts of Rajpurohit, honoured him and wished him success.
Rajpurohit said that he started the rally from Jammu City in 2019, but soon, he had to stop it because of the lockdown. However, he resumed his rally soon. Also, he had to stay in Tamil Nadu for nearly two months during the lockdown imposed in the second wave.
