Oly after due diligence that the officials are allowing the people to enter Vijayapura.

While the police of Vijsyapura are stopping every vehicle at the border for checking, the medical staff are checking the details of the visitors to find out whether they have taken the vaccine or not.

“Special teams have been deployed at the check posts of the districts to see that people from Maharashtra who have not taken vaccine or not carrying RT – PCR negative reports, do not enter Bijapur. This is important to prevent the spreading of Covid in Bijapur district,” said Deputy Commissioner P. Sunil Kumar.

He has sought the public cooperation to prevent the spreading of Covid pandemic and control the possible third wave.

Kumar, who visited various check posts set up at the bordering areas of Maharashtra, said that the officials should remain alert and ensure that they discharge their duties properly.

He said that those entering should show an RT – PCR negative report taken 72 hours before the arrival.

“The officials have greater responsibility in preventing the third wave. The more they remain alert, the higher the chances of preventing the possible third wave,” Sunil Kumar said.
