Vijayapura: Two UPSC aspirants from Vijayapura have brought glory to the district by cracking tough UPSC exam and securing good rank.

While Netra Meti of Almatti Village of Nidagundi Taluk has secured 326th rank, Sagar Wadi of Hingani Village of Indi Taluk has bagged 385th rank in UPSC exam.

Netra said that she had been preparing for USPC exam for five years. Having completed her primary education in Almatti and till college in Vijayapura City, she later pursued and completed Engineering. After that she worked in a private firm in Bengaluru.

Having secured 326th rank, she believes that she will possibly get Indian Foreign Service based on her ranking.

She expressed happiness for clearing the tough exam and believes that constant support of her family, made it possible to clear the exam.

Sagar Wadi who is presently working in Department of Energy in Central Government as Deputy Manager in Bengaluru, is also elated for securing 385th rank in UPSC.

Having studied in Korwar village of Sindgi Taluk from class 1 to 5, he later completed his education upto PUC from Jawahar Navodaya School in Almatti. He completed his Engineering from Surathkal.

He said that he always dreamt of becoming IAS officer from childhood. Sagar said that he had attempted the exams thrice in the past and he saw success in his fourth attempt.
