Vijayapura: Three teenagers are feared to have drowned while swimming at a canal near Saibaba Temple on TB Dam Road on Saturday December 17.
They have been identified as Gururaj (18), a resident of Gunda village, Anjini (18), a resident of Mrutyunjaya Nagar, and Yashwant, a resident of Hosalingapura village of Koppal District.
As per the reports, six college students reportedly skipped classes and went swimming in the canal. They started drowning after becoming trapped in the canal’s flowing water while swimming. Locals who saw the young people in danger rushed to save them and pulled three of them from the water. The others were washed away since they couldn’t be saved.
A search has been launched to find the missing teenagers.
