Vijayapura: At the time when the Central probe agencies and the police of various states are conducting raids and arresting the members of Popular Front of India (PFI) across the country, BJP State President, Nalin Kumar Kateel has accused the Congress of allowing the organisations such as PFI and SDPI to grow in Karnataka.
Addressing mediapersons before attending the party programme on Tuesday September 28 he held the Former Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah responsible for the growth of the PFI in Karnataka as he did not take action against the organisation.
“The PFI gained strength in the State during the tenure of the Siddaramaiah in Karnataka,” he alleged and added as Chief Minister If he had taken a tough stand against PFI, the organisation would not have grown this strong which has been accused of being involved in anti-national and anti-social activities.
Expressing happiness for the Central and State Government for launching a massive hunt against the PFI members, he said that majority of the PFI members have been arrested from Karnataka as the organisations enjoyed support of Siddaramaiah.
Stating that there is a growing demand to ban PFI, he said that the Government is collecting evidence against the organisation.
“The BJP government will certainly taking strong action against such outfits,” he asserted.
Later speaking at the party event where he launched a campaign for the coming assembly polls from the Nagathan Assembly segment, he continued his tirade against Siddaramaiah.
Calling Siddaramaiah as a killer, he said that it was during his tenure as CM, over 3000 farmers committed suicide, around 24 Hindu activists died and several top level officials too committed suicide.
