Belagavi: Visvesvaraya Technological University has ruled out the possibility of a paper leak as is being alleged by the engineering students who undertook the mathematics backlog paper on Thursday.
As per the reports doing rounds, the paper was leaked about half an hour prior to the examination and held the negligence on the part of the varsity responsible for the leak.
An inquiry has been ordered into the said leak, and a report has been sought by all affiliated colleges said Vice-Chancellor Karisiddappa while adding that the chance of a paper leak was remote as the VTU delivers papers to the colleges online just 30 minutes prior to the examinations. The colleges need to decode the same, take printouts and later distribute these to the students, he added.
“After going through the reports and the CCTV footage, the university will decide on the next course of action. A detailed statement would be released on Monday,” Karisiddappa said.
