Belagavi: As a sign of generosity and gesture of gratitude to the supreme sacrifice of martyr H Guru of the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), the Zilla Panchayat members here have decided to donate a month’s honorarium towards Guru’s family, here on Monday, February 25.
The decision was taken in the Zilla Panchayat meeting.
The ZP has decided to collect Rs. 5000 from every member, which will sum up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs.
A resolution was also passed regarding the same.
H Guru who hails from Mandya, was one of the martyrs among the 44 other CRPF jawans, who were martyred in the Pulwama attack, during the movemnet of convoy of 70 CRPF vehicles.
