Bengaluru: A 100 years old woman from Huvina Hadagali in Ballari district won the battle against COVID-19.
She is the eldest COVID-19 patient diagnosed with the disease and cured now.
Halamma, 100, a resident of the Huvina Hadagali in Ballari district is the woman who is cured now. She was treated at her home in the town with her son, daughter in law, and grandson.
“Doctor’s treated me well. Along with regular food, I was taking an apple a day. Doctors gave me tablets and injections. I am healthy now. COVID-19 is like a common cold,” she told reporters.
According to the health department authorities, her son who is serving in a nationalised bank tested positive on July 3. Halamma tested positive on July 16. But on July 22, she was reported as negative for coronavirus.
She was treated at home isolation as per the government guidelines.
Her message to society: “COVID-19 is not life-threatening. There is no need to panic,” she said.
