Bengaluru: With the Indian Railways restarting the limited passengers train service between various cities, the Karnataka government decided to implement strict rules for those who arrive at the state to ensure that they will not spread Covid 19 among the locals.
According to a tweet by state police chief Praveen Sood, inter-state returnees from Delhi, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamilnadu will have to undergo 14 days institutional quarantine without fail.
He informed that passes are issued only through govt portal seva sindhu.
He requested the people who arrive to limit their travel after reaching the state. “Travel only if it is absolutely essential. Be prepared for quarantine even if asypmtomatic,” he stated.
According to the sources, on Sunday, hundreds of people who arrived from Tamil Nadu via Attigebele check post in Anekal taluk have been sent for the institutional quarantine facility at various places for 14 days.
Many were found pleading the authorities not to send them to quarantine. But authorities sent them citing the government order.
