Bengaluru: As many as five Additional Commissioners of Police, 15 DCPs and 15,000 police personnel will provide security in the city for the final procession of ‘Rebel Star’, ‘Mandyada Gandu’ M H Ambareesh on Monday, November 26.
According to the police, the mortal remains will be brought to Bengaluru from Mandya at around 10.30 AM. “The body will be flown in a special copter from Mandya to the city. It will be taken in a procession to the Kanteerava Studios, where Ambi will be cremated near Dr. Rajkumar Samadhi, said the officials.
“In the Kanteerava Stadium, seating arrangements have been made for 2,000 VVIPs. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his cabinet colleagues, several actors and politicians are participating in the event,” explained an officer.
Drone to keep an eye
The city police have decided to use drones extensively to keep an eye on the fans. “It is a Monday and traffic jams are a common scene. To avoid this, special arrangements have been made. Several routes have been diverted,” the police added.
Meanwhile, the state government has cancelled Kanaka Dasa Jayanti celebrations which were to be held on Monday.
