Bengaluru: Amid increasing demand for home isolation for the Covid-19 patients, the data released by the state health department pointed out that 176 persons infected with Covid-19 died at their homes.

As many as 2,412 persons died across the state due to Covid-19.

According to the data, reasons for the deaths at home include cardiac attack, low oxygen level etc.

“Many senior citizens are reluctant to visit the fever clinics. There are confusion surrounding the availability of beds in the hospitals too. There is no clarity on why so many deaths are reported from the homes,” informed an officer from the health department.

“We are appealing all the families to undergo medical examination in the event of any fever or other Covid-19 symptoms. It only can save more lives. The senior citizens should be very careful,” he said.
