Priyanka B, a 19-year-old college student from Rajajinagar, North Bengaluru, tragically died by suicide on November 29. According to the FIR, Priyanka was allegedly misled by her college mate, Diganth, who persuaded her to invest in casinos. In addition, he took gold ornaments worth ₹15 lakh from her.
Despite Priyanka’s repeated attempts to get the items back, Diganth refused to return them. The devastated student left behind a note blaming him for her death. Following the incident, the Rajajinagar police registered a case under Section 108 (abetment of suicide) and have begun an investigation into the matter.
