Ramanagar: A woman died here on Monday, May 6, after giving birth to an infant. Her family has termed medical negligence responsible for her death.
The deceased woman is Dikshitha (19) who had given birth to a baby boy.
Dikshitha, a resident of Malurpatna village, was admitted to a hospital following labour pain.
She died in the operation theatre.
Fearing consequences, Dr. Shailaja and staff who had assisted her, absconded from the hospital.
Meanwhile, the family members of Dikshitha who came to know of this, vandalised the hospital.
The hospital sources have confirmed that she had died 30 minutes after giving birth to the child and that the newborn was healthy.
