Bengaluru: Following Former Union Minister and Vijayapura BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal’s statement that B. S. Yediyurappa’s era in Karnataka was over, the latter has announced that he will go on a State-wide tour in the coming weeks to further strengthen the party ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections.
Speaking to mediapersons on Friday February 4, he said, “I should have begun the tour a long time ago. However, due to the Covid – 19 pandemic, it was delayed. However, since Covid – 19 cases are declining, I will begin the tour in a fortnight.”
“The tour’s goal was to strengthen the party by holding discussions with important BJP leaders in each district,” he said.
“The good work and outreach programmes of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s government would help us win 130-140 seats in 2023,” he added.
