Bengaluru: In recent times, there has been a concerning increase in cases of child sexual abuse in Bengaluru. Additionally, a disturbing incident unfolded in the city.
On Wednesday evening, within the Jayanagar police limits, a 22-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a three-year-old girl. Following a complaint filed by the victim’s parents, the police apprehended the accused, a resident of the same area.
While the girl was at a shop near her residence, the accused reportedly covered her mouth and forcibly took her to a narrow road. Subsequently, he allegedly muffled her mouth with a cloth and sexually assaulted her. The incident was witnessed by a shop owner who promptly informed the girl’s father. It’s noteworthy that the girl’s parents are daily wage laborers.
