Bengaluru: A three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at a private school in Indiranagar on Monday evening. The girl was molested by a staff member inside the school premises, suspect Police.
Police believe the accused lured the girl with toffees and then molested her. When the girl reached home, she is said to have complained to her parents about pain in her private parts.
The parents then took her to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed that she had been molested. The parents approached the police and registered a case.
Police are looking into CCTV footage to identify the accused. However, the school authorities claim that the girl was in class between 12 noon and 3 pm, which is when the incident is said to have taken place. They have stated that the CCTV camera has even picked up footage of the girl’s parent picking her up from the school.
The girl had joined the school a year ago. Investigations are on.
