The Bengaluru Transport Department has confiscated 30 high-end vehicles for operating in the state without paying mandatory taxes, officials confirmed on Monday.

During an extensive operation on Sunday, transport officials impounded luxury cars, including Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Austin, and Range Rover. The crackdown was spearheaded by Transport Deputy Commissioner C Mallikarjun, with support from 41 officials, including Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) B Srinivas Prasad, Deepak, Srinivasappa, and Ranjit.

Authorities revealed that the owners of these vehicles had evaded taxes, prompting the department to issue notices demanding ₹3 crore in unpaid dues. Further action will be taken against violators as per transport regulations.
