Bengaluru: Jayanth Reddy, 21, a 3rd semester BE student dies by suicide in a city engineering college by jumping off the 7th floor of the college. He was a resident of Bommasandra and had been to the college to give his lab examination related documents. He straight away went to the seventh floor and jumped.
Even though he was rushed to the nearby hospital, he succumbed to the injuries.
Students held a flash protest alleging that he resorted to suicide because of examination pressure. They demanded online examination for all the batches this year as classes were also conducted online.
A death note was recovered from the spot and the police has launched an investigation.
