Bengaluru: 507 doctors on contract who had threatened to resign from their jobs on June 17 informed the state government that they will not turn up for duty from July 8. This is in the midst of the war against COVID19.
Meanwhile, the state government has actually increased their salary from Rs.45,000 per month to Rs.60,000 per month. But their main greiviance and demand is the regularisation of their services. “However, as the state government is not ready to consider our demand, we decided to quit,” informed the doctors.
“Altough the goverment has increased our monthly salary from Rs: 45,000 to Rs: 60,000, its not enough. We want a government assurance on the regularisation of our services”, asserted the docs.
