Bengaluru: A 55-year-old man overwhelmed by financial difficulties tragically ended his life at Manti Mall in Malleswaram on Thursday night.

The deceased, identified as Manjunath T.C., was a resident of Ullal Upanagar in Bengaluru and hailed from Tiptur in Tumakuru district. The incident occurred around 9 PM, when Manjunath jumped from the mall’s second floor, leaving shoppers in shock.

According to police, a note found at the scene revealed that he had amassed debts of approximately ₹2 crore. “Initial investigations indicate his financial troubles pushed him to take this unfortunate step,” a police official reported.

Authorities are in the process of notifying his family and conducting further inquiries to gather more details about the circumstances leading to the incident.
