Bengaluru: A total of 56 prisoners tested positive in the Parappana Agrahara prison of the city. On Sunday morning 30 persons were tested positive, while 26 prisoners had tested positive earlier.
According to the authorities, these positive patients have been shifted to the Haj Bhavan Covid-19 care center.
Fearing that more prisoners may contact the virus, now the Prisons department has decided to keep the new prisoners in the new building where enough social distance can be maintained.
The department also decided to continue more testing to ensure the safety of the prisoners.
