A 7-year-old boy, Elvin Dsouza, has been missing from Gempark Layout in Sarjapur, Bengaluru, since 2:30 PM on Thursday, January 16. Elvin, a non-verbal autistic child who communicates in Konkani and understands English, was last seen near a water tank in the locality at 2:44 PM, as captured on CCTV footage.
Elvin’s mother recounted that he was playing with his cycle outside their home while she attended to a washing machine technician. By the time she returned around 3 PM, both Elvin and his cycle were gone. Immediate searches by the family in the area yielded no results.
The boy was last spotted wearing a light blue shirt and black shorts near Pushpam Lush County Recreational Area in Gudigattanahalli. Despite rumors circulating online about his being found, the parents have confirmed that Elvin remains missing.
A missing person report has been filed, and police are investigating. Authorities are combing through CCTV footage and conducting extensive searches in the neighborhood.
