Bengaluru: As many as 8.5 lakh students in Karnataka will sit for the class ten Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, which begins today, and will be conducted in 2,817 examination centres.
This year, the department has collected all data pertaining to the examinations online, and school managements can print admission tickets for students in the school itself.
However, 10,867 students will be missing the exams as they don’t have the mandatory 75% attendance to sit for the examination. According to officials of the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), the students will have to appear for the March 2019 examinations. They will not be given admission tickets, officials said.
V. Sumangala, Director of KSEEB, said that heads of all examination centres had been told to ensure that students with disabilities are provided seating arrangements on the ground floor.
