Bengaluru: The Revenue Department has ordered the transfer of 87 Tahsildars and 103 Grade II Tahsildars as per Election Commission guidelines.
The Revenue Department, which has issued the transfer orders on Friday, said that the transfers are done as per the Election commission guidelines and for better administration. Thus a total of 190 Tahsildars were transferred comprising of Municipality Tahsildar, Electoral Tahsildars, Grade I Tahasildars and Grade II Tahasildars.
The voter’s lists are being processed for Lok Sabha polls. These Tahsildars are involved in the process. The election commission has stated that the current transfers will be carried out once the voter’s list is processed. Till then the Tahsildars will continue in their current posts and locations.
