Bengaluru: IAS Officer K. Srinivas took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of the Bengaluru Urban District on Wednesday July 20.
Srinivas replaced Sangappa, who had taken charge after Manjunath was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with a bribery case earlier this month.
This is Srinivas’ second term as Bengaluru Urban’s District Deputy Commissioner. He was appointed on July 18. Earlier, he served as deputy commissioner after the July 2019 arrest of former IAS officer B. M. Vijay Shankar in connection with the IMA scandal. Shankar died later, allegedly by suicide.
