Bengaluru: Sandalwood actor Shivarajkumar clarified, here on Friday, April 12, that he had gone to Shivamogga for the promotion of his new release ‘Kavacha’ and not for campaigning in favour of the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate Madhu Bangarappa.
After a programme on the 13th death anniversary of Kannada matinee idol and Shivarajkumar’s father Dr. Rajkumar, he disclosed this with the media.
Reacting to a statement made by the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Kumar Bangarappa yesterday that Shivarajkumar was in Shivamogga for promoting Madhu Bangarappa and not for the promotion of ‘Kavacha’, he said. “My industry itself is like a fort for me and I do not really bother about any political developments or campaigning for anyone.”
It may be recalled that Kumar Bangarappa had accused Shivarajkumar of “double standards.”
