Actress, Former Minister Umashree to head KPCC women’s team to win over female voters

Bengaluru: KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar formed a team of 28 senior women leaders of the party to attract the female voters. This committee will be headed by Former Minister Umashree, who is an actress in Kannada film and television industry.

A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held on Monday July 12.

Akai Padmashali, a noted activist and Kusuma Hanumantarayappa, are part of this committee.

DK Shivakumar informed that the committee should travel across the state and ensure that more and more women will join the party beside getting star touch the party.

“The women achievers must be roped into the party. Leaders will be given more responsibilities only based on their performances,” he said.
