Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has appointed actresses Shruti and Tara Anuradha to two boards and corporations. Both of them will get Cabinet rank posts.
Tara Anuradha, who is also an MLC, has been appointed as chairperson to the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights while Shruti has been appointed as chairperson to the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation.
The two, whose appointment order was issued on Monday by the DPAR, have been active members of the BJP for many years.
They have worked for the BJP as star campaigners in many elections.
