Bengaluru: Even as the Corona Virus scare gripped the state, Minister for Health Sriramulu was busy hosting the multi-crore wedding of his daughter, which was solemnized on March 5 at Palace Grounds.
He was attacked by many for remaining out of sight when there was a need for him to be active on the field. Barring a joint press meet along with Minister for Medical Education Dr Sudhakar last week, Sreeramulu was evidently missing in action.
Several days after the wedding ceremonies, the Minister finally got working and on Tuesday, March 10 he visited Kempegowda International Airport and inspected the facilities in place to tackle the situation at the airport.
Minister for Medical Education Dr Sudhakar has been at the forefront addressing issues pertaining to Corona Virus. The first case of Corona Virus infection was detected in the state yesterday after a man landed here from the USA.
A 40-year-old techie was tested positive for coronavirus and was been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases.
His wife and daughter too were admitted as they were symptomatic, Minister of Medical Education, Sudhakar, revealed at a press conference on Monday.
The department is now working on tracing all the people that the infected person was in touch with.
