Bengaluru: An agreement will be signed soon with the Department of Commerce of Thailand, said Minister of Large and small scale Industries (excluding sugar), Jagadish Shettar on Friday.
Speaking to the General-led delegation of Royal Thai Council in Chennai, who met him in Vidhana Soudha, he said “Karnataka State is an industrial-friendly state. There are wide opportunities for investment in the state. He told the Council General of Thai to inform Thai investors of the opportunities available in the state.
There are many opportunities for investment, trade, and trade exchange between Thailand and the state, he added. Responding positively to the Thai delegation’s request for an agreement in this regard, the minister instructed the authorities to review the agreement and set an expedited date.
The Council – NITIROOGE PHONEPRASERT – CONSUL-GENERAL, spoke of ten major areas of investment and trade in IT, food parks, exchange of educational institutions, the establishment of research centers, incubators, etc.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry, Revanna Gowda, Managing Director of Employment Alliance, and other officials of the Consulate were present.
