Bengaluru: Jolted and jostled by the IT raid, Minister for Power D K Shivakumar has still emerged as a hero within the Congress house for his planning in saving the face of Congress High Command in the Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls.
DK Shi is believed to have ran into trouble for hosting the Gujarat MLAs in his resort in Bengaluru. However, keeping aside all the troubles, DK Shivakumar worked for the victory of the Congress in Gujarat like a loyal soldier of the party and now, the party High Command, which is mighty impressed by DK Shi is planning to reward him in a big way!
As per sources, the Congress High Command has already decided to make DK Shi in-charge of Gujarat Assembly polls and the Minister has reportedly given his nod. DK Shi is being termed a ‘political Maverick’ who knit counter strategies to foil the strategies of seasoned politicians like BJP National Chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself in their own home turf.

Speaking to media, DK Shi said that he was happy that the Congress could plant victory flag in Gujarath. “The Party had vested huge responsibilities on my shoulders and I had kept all my problems aside because party comes first to me. We wanted 46 votes, but we missed one vote. However, we accept the results with all happiness,” he said.
With DK Shi’s hard work being noticed, the Karnataka Power Minister is all set to receive some bumper gift from AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, say party sources.
