Bengaluru/New Delhi: In a sudden development, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary K C Venugopal invited Congress strongman from the state, D K Shivakumar to New Delhi for talks.
DKShi will be flying to New Delhi on an evening flight. He is scheduled to meet Venugopal late in the night.
According to sources, DKShi is likely to be offered a major post in the party considering the pressure from the original Congress leaders.
Sources say that while there is no possibility that Siddaramaiah and Dinesh Gundu Rao will be removed from their posts, DKShi is expected to be given a post and responsibility equal to that of both these leaders.
