Bengaluru: The legal troubles for Akrama-Sakrama may not end with Tuesday’s High Court verdict as most petitioners are mulling over challenging the order in the Supreme Court.
The Citizens Action Front (CAF), one of the petitioners, held a meeting on Tuesday and resolved to take the legal route to challenge Akrama-Sakrama scheme again.

D S Rajasekhar, president, CAF, said once they get the order copy, they would most likely file a review petition before the High Court before approaching the Supreme Court.

Those who opposed the scheme were led by Namma Bengaluru Foundation, Bengaluru Citizens Forum and Federation of JP Nagar 7th and 8th phase residents’ welfare associations. “We will first go through the details of the court order and then take a call on whether to take it forward. But, this is definitely a fit case to be considered by the courts and hence an appeal can be made in the Supreme Court,” said Namma Bengaluru Foundation CEO Sridhar Pabbisetty.
