Bengaluru: Former CM Siddaramaiah, who is eyeing a comeback in 2023 state assembly election has decided to start a mass movement against the amendment brought by the state government to the land reforms act 1964.
As part of his strategy, he met senior farmers’ leaders at his Bengaluru residence and held a marathon discussion.
Kodihalli Chandrasekhar, Badagalapura Nagendra, Chamarasa Mali Patil and others were part of the meeting.
In the meeting, it was decided to hold protests at the village-level and garner the support of all.
Later speaking to the reporters, Siddaramaiah took potshots at revenue minister R Ashok.
“Does Ashok know anything about farming? He must visit the paddy fields first and then he will understand why we are all opposing this,” he said.
