Bengaluru: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao stated that it was the efforts of Union minister Ananth Kumar as the Union urban development minister, which helped Bengaluru city get its most prized asset- the Namma Metro.
Speaking to reporters after offering a floral tribute to the late Ananth Kumar, Dinesh expressed his desire to see him as the Chief Minister of the state.
“He was a real politician. He lobbied hard for the cause of Karnataka in New Delhi. He is the man who worked hard to bring Namma Metro to Bengaluru,” he said.
“He had a bright future, both in the national and state politics. It is really sad to know that he is no more,” Dinesh added.
