Bengaluru: Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and newly elected MLA from Ramanagar constituency took oath as a legislator on Thursday, November 15.
She took oath exactly at 3.23 PM as per the suggestion of her brother-in-law and PWD Minister H D Revanna.
According to sources, originally her oath taking ceremony was scheduled at 2.30 PM. Anitha arrived at 2.30 PM. But based on the suggestion by Revanna she delayed her oath taking.
Later, speaking to the media, she said she would not demand a minister’s post in the HDK government.
“But if given a minister post, I will work efficiently,” she said,
“I am ready for any responsibility,” she said.
