Bengaluru: The BJP leaders in the state have been making one or the other shocking statements and after MLAs Renukacharya and Somashekar Reddy, who targeted the Muslims, this time Revenue Minister R Ashok has stoked a controversy with his ‘Anti-national elements must be shot’ remark.
Minister R Ashoka was at a celebration at the Vidhana Soudha. Soon after garlanding the statue of Subash Chandra Bose, R Ashoka was asked by reporters about how the scenes would have been if at all the Mangaluru bomb-scare incident accused was not a Hindu.
Responding to this, the minister said that anybody who becomes a party to anti-national activities- whether it is a Hindu, Muslim or a Christian, must be shot.
It was only a couple of days ago that MLA Renukacharya said that Mosques are used by a few Muslims to stock weapons and the BJP distanced itself from the statement.
