Ballari/Bengaluru: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy has submitted a writ plea to the Governor, Assembly Speaker, Council Chairperson and the Chief Secretary, seeking permission to file charge sheets in the court against eight people including the Chief Minister, in connection to her transfer from Kudligi last year.
She has sought permission to file charge sheets against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister G Parameshwara, his advisor Kempaiah, state election commissioner P N Srinivasachary, Hadagali MLA P T Parameshwar Naik, former DG&IGP Om Prakash, IGP S Murugan and SP R Chetan.
Addressing a news conference on Thursday, Shenoy said that her exit was planned specifically during the Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat polls as she posed an impediment for distribution of illicit liquor, in lieu for votes.
She also alleged that former minister P T Parameshwar Naik had demanded Rs 42 lakhs from liquor lobby to transfer her from Kudligi.
However, the same allegations cropped up in the Assembly when the opposition BJP raked up the issue.
Refuting the allegations leveled against him by Shenoy, Naik said that all the charges were far from truth and that he was ready to face probe from any agency.
“I am ready to quit politics, if she proves the charges,” Naik said.
