Bengaluru: The state Assembly session began on Monday, July 15 amidst rumblings among the coalition partners, while the BJP raised demands for a floor test.
It is reported that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, along with the other coalition leaders, met with Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar before the start of the session. They reportedly discussed the disqualification of the rebel MLAs.
Meanwhile, the BJP has demanded that a floor test be conducted before starting the Assembly session.
Speaking to ANI outside the Vidhana Soudha, BJP MLA Suresh Kumar said that it is up to CM Kumaraswamy to prove to the state that he enjoys the majority in the state Assembly. “He himself asked the Speaker to fix a time for the floor test. That should be done first and then we can attend to other business. All of our 105 MLAs are together,” he said.
