B’luru Police clamps prohibitory measures on July 29, 30 in wake of assembly session

Bengaluru: As Karnataka State Assembly will be holding sessions on July 29 and 30, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Alok Kumar has imposed prohibitory orders around 2 km surrounding of the Vidhana Soudha.

The prohibitory orders will come into force from Monday, July 29, 6 AM and will continue till Tuesday, July 30, midnight. Bengaluru City Police has decided to clamp prohibitory orders to avoid any untoward incidents.

Not more than five people in a group are allowed to gather at public places. Processions, protests, moving along with lethal weapons, explosives, playing music, singing, illustrations and carrying effigy has been completely prohibited.

It can be noted that newly sworn-in Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has decided to prove majority on the floor of the House on Monday, for which Speaker Ramesh Kumar has given consent.
