Bengaluru: One of the disqualified MLAs of the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition, B C Patil met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, along with his daughter Srushti Patil, here on Sunday, August 4.
After having a meeting with CM BSY, addressing the media he said, “I met the CM to congratulate him and emphasize on the developmental activities regarding my constituency. For this, he responded positively. This meet was just an informal meet.”
“I’ll have a discussion with my people of Hirekerur Assembly Constituency and then will decide on from which party I shall contest”, he added.
Patil rubbished the rumours of him having made up his mind to place his daughter from the Hirekerur constituency.
Meanwhile, he has also criticized former speaker Ramesh Kumar, opining that he had misguided the people by saying that the disqualified MLAs were not entitled to participate in the elections.
He said, “There are no restrictions on disqualified MLAs from contesting polls. We can recall the Tamil Nadu political scenario here, where the disqualified MLAs from AIADMK party were allowed to contest the by-elections based on the court orders.”
