Bengaluru: B.Y. Vijayendra assumes the role of Karnataka BJP President, succeeding Nalin Kumar Kateel, in a ceremony where the party flag was passed on. Former CM BS Yediyurappa plans a massive rally with Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s involvement.

Vijayendra emphasizes a non-caste-oriented approach for BJP success in Lok Sabha and assembly elections. He underscores the need to counter the Congress government in Lok Sabha polls and emphasizes the importance of upcoming zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat elections.

Do not fear the Lok Sabha elections; we are not engaging in Operation Lotus, he reassured. The event was attended by former ministers R Ashoka, Govind Karjol, Munirathna Naidu, Araga Jnanendra, Sriramulu, Gopalaiah, Prabhu Chauhan, MP Tejasvi Surya, and other dignitaries.
