The Green School Bangalore, Varthur, is hosting Bamboo 4 Bangalore on November 29 and 30, from 11 am to 3.30 pm. Organized in collaboration with the Bamboo Society of India and the Karnataka Forest Department, the event promotes sustainable living and innovative bamboo applications.

The event kickstarted with a Bamboo Cyclothon, featuring participants riding eco-friendly bamboo cycles. Karnataka’s Minister for Forest, Ecology, and Environment, Eshwar Khandre, flagged off the event at 11 am.

A bamboo gallery showcases intricately woven bamboo mats created by the school’s students, celebrating creativity and eco-conscious craftsmanship. Today’s highlight is a panel discussion on bamboo’s potential in sustainable development, moderated by Punati Sridhar, Chairman of the Bamboo Society of India, at 2.30 pm.

This initiative is a step toward blending innovation with environmental responsibility, showcasing how bamboo can be a game-changer for urban sustainability.
