Bengaluru: Difference opinion between the Janata Dal (S) and Congress leaders has resulted in the postponement of the election for the president and vice president of the Bangalore Urban, Rural and Ramanagara District Co-Operative Milk Producers Societies Union Ltd (BAMUL).
It all started with the Congress demanding unanimous selection for the president and vice president post as it has the majority with three BJP members also supporting the party. Local Congress strong man DK Suresh and minister Krishna Bairegowda unanimously selected Narasimha Murthy from Magadi and Rajakumar of Kanakapura for two and half years terms for the president post and decided to leave the vice president post for the JD (S).
However, PWD minister, HD Revanna who is eyeing on the KMF president post opposed this and demanded an election. This led to a war of words between both party leaders. As the Congress members boycotted the election process, it was postponed by the presiding officer.
