Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwar made it clear that if the role of the Sanathana Samstha is proved in the murder of journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, the organisation will be banned in the state.
Speaking to the reporters in the city, he informed that the government will not tolerate any kind of communal activities by any fascist forces. Earlier, a delegation led by freedom fighter HS Doreswamy met the DCM seeking withdrawal of the cases against Prakash Rai and Jignesh Mewani and pressed for a ban on the Sanathana Samstha.
The DCM assured that the cases will be withdrawn.
Gauri memorial meeting: The delegation also informed the DCM that on September 5, an event will be organised in the city to mark the first anniversary of the murder of Gauri and the government must give security. The DCM agreed for the same.
