Bangladeshi woman found raped and murdered in Bengaluru; investigation underway
A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru’s Ramamurthy Nagar area, where a 28-year-old Bangladeshi woman was allegedly raped and murdered. Police discovered her body early Friday morning, strangled and pelted with stones, in a secluded spot near Kalkere Lake. Authorities confirmed signs of sexual assault, and the body has been sent for a postmortem.
The woman, who had lived in Bengaluru for six years with her husband and three children, worked as a housekeeper in a private apartment. She had completed her shift on Thursday but failed to return home. Her body was found the following morning in a desolate area near Kalkere.
Police, along with forensic experts and the SOCO team, promptly investigated the scene. It was revealed that while her husband had entered India legally, the woman had crossed the border without proper documentation. A case of sexual assault and murder has been registered based on her husband’s complaint. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to uncover more details.
