Bengaluru: It looks like the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is finally cracking the whip on engineers for not maintaining areas under them.
Upset over heaps of garbage and potholes in Chickpet ward, Mayor G. Padmavathi on Saturday directed senior officials to serve show-cause notice to the ward’s Assistant Executive Engineer Indra Kumar and Assistant Engineer Markandeya.
Participating in the Swachhata Andolan programmed held in Chickpet ward, the Mayor noticed the poor condition of roads and the unhygienic conditions in the ward. The Mayor said both the engineers would be suspended if they fail to keep the ward clean and fill up potholes within a week.
