Bengaluru: With less than 10 days to go for the start of the SSLC examination, uncertainty continues over the fate of the examination. In a big embarrassment to the state government, Gautham Jain, BBMP mayor has written to the education minister S Suresh Kumar not to conduct the examination in the BBMP limits.
In his letter, he stated that in Bengaluru, the containment zones are increasing day by day and parents are feeling scared to send their kids to the examination center. “So the examination should be postponed,” he urged.
As per the examination time table announced by the KSEEB, the examination will start on June 25. The education department is making elaborate plans to conduct the examination which includes mandatory masks for the students, hand sanitizers before entering the examination hall, mandatory temperature check, etc. N 95 masks will also be supplied to each examination center for the students with fever symptoms.
Meanwhile, in Bengaluru city the containment zones touched 201. It was 191 on Tuesday.
