
Begur Residents Hold Candlelight Vigil Against Terror, For Peace
BENGALURU: Residents from Begur and neighbouring areas united under the ‘Beautiful Begur Federation’ banner to organise a silent candlelight march, standing in solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
Prakash K, president of the federation, said, “The march was a peaceful display of our collective mourning, firm opposition to violence, and enduring hope for a future filled with peace.”
Highlighting the community spirit, he added, “At times like these, it is vital for us to gather as one and show that terror will not mute our voices. Our quiet march and the soft illumination of candlelight reflect our shared compassion, strength, and dedication to building a harmonious world.”
The participants, carrying candles, walked in silence to honour the memory of the victims, while reinforcing their commitment to rejecting violence and embracing unity.
